About the Career Center

The Career Center team is an important link to connecting our students and alumni with a diversity of hiring organizations. We are dedicated to providing all constituencies with the highest level of assistance and service possible.

Mission
We are career educators dedicated to facilitating career development and career-based experiential education opportunities that empower students to discover their unique calling and to engage in lifelong career management.  Utilizing faculty, employer and alumni networks, we provide a practical learning environment to ensure that our students are prepared for professional success and service to the common good.

Statement of Understanding at a Catholic University
As Career Educators, we prepare students to be leaders for career and community. Work plays a pivotal role in the well being of both the individual and society. John Paul II observed that human work is “probably the essential key” in building a more humane society. (Laborem exercens, 3) Therefore, we encourage students and alumni to answer their vocation.

We facilitate the self-exploration process and provide meaningful experiential education and career opportunities. We help students to identify their unique talents and gifts so that they can answer their true calling in life. Our work includes the involvement of alumni, employers and faculty who assist us in preparing students to put their God given gifts to good use. We support and challenge students to be competent and ethical professionals who are ready to meet the demands of the market, and contribute to the common good.
